A new Google Chrome Dev has been released, incrementing the build number to 21.0.1180.0. The new revision is available for all supported platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, and ChromeFrame) and brings to the table an updated JavaScript engine.

Version 3.11.10.6 of V8 integrates reporting for heap profiler memory usage and improved heuristics to keep objects in fast mode with inherited constructors.

In Google Chrome Dev 21.0.1180.0 content settings for Cookies show protected storage granted to hosted apps for cookies.

Compatibility with Windows 8 appears to be in straight line, as User-level Chrome no longer requires admin privileges to be made default.

The modifications for the Mac version include implementing HiDPI drawing for composited pages, handle dynamic changes to backing scale factor and improving tabstrip appearance on HiDPI displays.
