Google has just released a new version of Chrome for Android on its beta channel. The new version will slowly roll out over the next hours and will be available for download via Google Play Store.

There aren’t any new features included in this iteration, as Google has confirmed that the update is meant to add some crash fixes.

The upgrade also addresses issues brought in by previous versions or simply newly discovered by either users of the browser or Google’s engineers.

According to the official chnagelog, the following fixes have been included in this update for Chrome beta for Android:

- 315176: [M32] Svelte - Not loading any url on particular scenario; - 317963: [WebApps] WebappActivity tab priority is incorrect; - 323107: Chrome crashes when tapped on Bookmarks Navigator in incognito mode for Tablet and Mobile devices.

Given the fact that this is a beta build, there are still lots of known issues that have yet to be addressed in future updates. Here is the complete list of known issues for Chrome beta for Android, as confirmed by Google:

- 327773: [M32][CNN] Chrome crashes while playing videos; - 327767: [M32] Droid RAZR M - Lot of graphical corruption in tab-switcher; - 327760: [S2-IML74K] Chrome crashes when trying to play youtube video; - 319983: Lot of background when scrolling up and down on pages; - 308787: Pre-rendered pages have no title in most visited list; - 318601: Vertical & horizontal line flickers in n-ntp page when we side swipe (in tab switcher mode).

These are only the most important changes announced by Google, but for the complete list of fixes included in this build, you might want to check out the SVN revision log.
