After the release of new stable and dev versions, Google has updated the beta channel for Chrome browser. The revision, 22.0.1229.91, is available for Windows, Mac and Linux platforms.

The current build has dealt with audio-related bugs, such as the one preventing AudioDeviceThread from starting if clients have called the Stop function. Crashing of Pepper plug-ins is now handled the same way as crashing of NPAPI plug-ins.

Starting this release, Flash Stage3D is allowed to run on XP machines, unless drivers are otherwise blacklisted. It is added as an experiment and it’s disabled by default. However, 3D for nonStage3D content is still banned.

Another change is turning off animations for page and browser actions. You can find additional details on this page.
