Google has rolled out a new update for the beta channel of Chrome browser. The build number is 23.0.1271.40 and the revision is available for all supported platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome Frame) and brings to the table an updated V8 engine.

Overall repairs touch on web spell check, as the component failed to underline all misspelled words.

On Windows, the development team solved the problems with HW video decoder and made specific improvements for the upcoming Windows 8.

As far as Mac operating system is concerned, several top crashes have been eliminated as well as problems with Flash and PepperFlash. Moreover, users should no longer have trouble with bad audio coming from USB- connected headsets.

Earlier this week, Google updated the dev channel for the web browser as well.
