The Development branch of Google Chrome, a browser built on the Blink layout engine that aims to be minimalistic and versatile at the same time, has advanced to version 38.0.2114.2 for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X.

Google Chrome usually features three distinct branches: Dev, Beta, and Stable. The development branch is where all the new features, changes, and other improvements are implemented, but very few changes have been made since the previous release, a fact that can be observed in the changelog.

According to the developers, an option to build without ARM-trusted components has been added, the Blink engine has been updated, the default cross compiler for ARM/linux builds has been set, the GPU collector code between X11 and Ozone platforms is now shared, Mode_switch key is now supported, and a few other fixes have been implemented.

The Google Chrome developers only provide two kinds of binary files, deb and rpm, and no source. If you are not using a Linux distribution capable of reading this type of files, you will have to wait until it hits your repositories.

Usually, a complete list of changes can be found on the official website.
