The Google Chrome 35 development branch, a browser built on the Blink layout engine that aims to be minimalistic and versatile at the same time, has just received a new major update.

A new version in the Development branch of Google Chrome is now out, bringing a large number of fixes and new features. The browser from Google Chrome is based on Chromium, and because this is the development version, it also means that all the changes made will eventually trickle down to the Beta and the Stable releases.

It also means that some of the features introduced in the development version of Google Chrome might not pass the experimental stage and that some options might be removed before the branch is promoted to Beta.

According to the developers, this is a rather large release with numerous changes and improvements. For example, the OEM folder is now at the end of the list unless it was synced, the wrong shutdown of audio channel in app-launcher has been fixed (the current code didn’t close the audio channel correctly), the URL field of folders for bookmarks.onChanged is no longer set, fixed-pos jitter related to physical pixel snapping has been corrected, a NULL gpu::Buffer dereference has been corrected, and the launcher handling has been simplified.

Also, the MediaStreamDeviceController has been changed in order to return an error code if no device is found that can be opened, support has been added for canary connection attempts, a crash that occurred when accessing a deleted window has been fixed, some occasional toast animation glitches have been corrected, the script invocations have been used in order to use new scripts, a video capture bug in a utility function GetPin has been fixed, refactor CSS rules for the shift-key has been added, and a memory overwrite that occurred when sending an error code on socket has been fixed.

Keep in mind that you can't run concurrent Google Chrome versions at the same time on your computer, which means that you will need to remove the old version before getting the new one in place. 35.0.1916.14

Usually, a complete list of changes can be found on the official website. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
