Google has just released a brand new beta version of its Chrome browser after the developing team has managed to address a new set of bugs and resolve the majority of crashes reported by users in the previous builds.

Google Chrome 35.0.1916.69 Beta is available on all supported platforms, so users currently running Windows, Linux, and Mac can download it right away.

As you could easily guess by simply reading the program’s build number, this particular version is still in the beta development stage, so a number of bugs and issues could still exist. As a result, those of you who don’t have the time to diagnose bugs or simply want a bug-free experience should get the stable 34 build that’s also available on all platforms.

As far as Windows is concerned, Google Chrome continues to work on Windows XP as well, even though Microsoft has officially pulled the plug on this particular OS version earlier this month.

In fact, Google Chrome is considered to be one of the main replacements for the built-in Internet Explorer, with security vendors across the world recommending Windows XP users to replace the default browser with Google’s in order to enhance protection of their operating systems.

AVAST is one of the companies that truly believe that Google Chrome is a much safer alternative, so it recommends its users to dump Internet Explorer and go for Google’s application if they want to run Windows XP in a safe environment.

“In addition to Windows XP itself being a security risk, Internet Explorer on Windows XP poses an even larger threat. The latest version of the browser available on Windows XP is version 8, making it outdated and lacking a number of security improvements available in its later versions. Of our existing Windows XP user database, 21.5% run Internet Explorer, leaving themselves open to easy attacks. Google Chrome is a good alternative and is fully compatible with Windows XP, updating itself automatically,” it says.

Google has already promised to keep updating Chrome for Windows XP for at least one more year in order to make sure that everyone has a safe option when it comes to browsers on the retired platform, so you can always give it a shot if you’re yet to migrate to a newer OS version, such as Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.
