Google has released Chrome 26 for all supported platforms, including Mac OS X, on the company’s Stable channel. The updated browser includes 11 fixed security bugs, and a few other enhancements.

Chrome 26.0.1410.43 is now available for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome Frame. It delivers “Ask Google for suggestions” spell checking improvements, asynchronous DNS resolver, and a truckload of security fixes.

The new Chrome 26 may well be the most secure way to browse the web right now, as it is the latest one that received a security update out of all the web browsers popularly used on the Mac today (Firefox, Safari, Chrome).

Around a dozen patches have been made in total, which means the security of the browser has never been stronger. That is, until they find the next set of vulnerabilities they need to close down.
