Google Chrome, a browser built on the WebKit layout engine that aims to be minimalistic and versatile at the same time, is now at version 24.0.1312.45.

The beta version of Google Chrome is now out for Linux users, but it's not a major release, featuring just generic improvements.

Highlights of Google Chrome 24.0.1312.45:

• One more app has been added to Pepper TCP/UDP whitelist; • QTMonitorImpl::Start() no longer crashes when getting the initial number of input devices in some conner cases; • A UMA stat has been added to track whether Chrome is the default browser; • The API path used has been updated to retrieve the channel ID.

A complete list of bug fixes and changes can be found in the official changelog.

Download Google Chrome 24.0.1312.45 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a beta version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
