The beta channel for Google Chrome received an update, which incremented the build number to 24.0.1312.40. The new revision focuses on improving the stability of the browser and it is available for all supported platforms (WindowsMacLinux and Chrome Frame).

Among the significant changes available in this revision is re-enabling web intents by default, which allows different web apps to call upon each other, thus offering the user collaborative workflow inside the browser.

Further changes include metrics for pinning/unpinning actions on Windows 8, for the modern UI version of the browser. The option for pinning to start screen is available in Hotdog (settings icon) > Bookmarks > Pin to start page.

As far as fixes are concerned, the development team managed to repair fake audio device fallback.
