The beta channel for Google Chrome has been updated to version 24.0.1312.27. The new release is available for all supported platforms (WindowsMacLinux and Chrome Frame) and it is designed to improve the stability and functionality of the web browser.

First on the list of changes is eliminating a print-related bug that caused random Chinese/Japanese characters to be missing in documents when system print dialog was used. This problem would occur on systems running Windows XP SP3.

In this build, users should no longer encounter problems with console.log not being able to output jQuery objects properly.

The developers also took care of a more important issue, which consisted in a memory leak in GPU accelerated canvas. A set of four stability problems have been addressed as well.
