Google is ironing out the last kinks before Chrome 22 is sent to the beta channel. The most recent dev release, Chrome 22.0.1229.8 is another small step towards the graduation, which is coming next week at the latest, but possibly a lot sooner than that.

There are some last minute fixes and changes in this latest build. Windows 8 is getting some attention, no surprise since Chrome 22 will likely be the stable version when Windows 8 comes out. The "set as default" dialog has been updated and made to work with Win 8. A bug with hardware accelerated H.264 video decoding on Win 8 has also been fixed.

It seems that Mac users are not getting the Pepper version of Flash in Chrome 22, the build is available but won't be the default. Chrome 23 now seems the likely candidate for the switch. Linux made the switch with Chrome 20, Windows with Chrome 21.
