Chrome 18, now in beta, has been recently updated for all supported platforms, including Mac OS X where the browser gets three exclusive fixes, one of which should make MacBook Pro owners particularly happy.

For all supported platforms (including Windows, and Linux), Chrome 18.0.1025.39 comes with the usual new and improved V8 engine (now at version 3.8.9.8), fixes for several crashes, and more.

On the Mac, the new Chrome beta brings three exclusive fixes. One is for the custom cursor decoding with a wrong color, another fixes a bug causing the cursor to disappear altogether, and the last one patches a hanging issue on Mac notebooks.

The changelog states: “Fixed Chrome on dual-GPU NVIDIA/Intel MacBook Pro hangs browser.”

Those of you testing Chrome betas on their MacBook Pro can get downloading using the link below. Same goes for everybody else looking to use Chrome (including stable versions of the browser).
