There is a new update available for Chromebook owners running the beta channel. Google Chrome 17.0.963.38 has now been pushed via the update channel and should be landing soon if it hasn't been installed already on your Chromebook.
The first Chrome 17 beta landed on Chromebooks a bit over a week ago and Google has released another update since, very shortly after the initial release, to fix several stability issues, but also included some UI tweaks and fixes. The latest release is much of the same.
"The Beta channel has been updated to 17.0.963.38 (Platform versions: 1412.121 and 1412.123) for Chromebooks (Acer AC700, Samsung Series 5, and Cr-48). This update fixes a number of stability and UI issues," Google
announced.
Google Chrome 17 for Chromebooks brings a new built in photo editor, for quick touch-ups. The file browser/manager has been improved as well. Finally, there is now support for OpenVPN.
