A few days late, as usual, but Google Chrome 16 is available for Chromebooks. The latest major version of the popular browser was released for desktops earlier this week and it's now available as an update in Chrome OS 1193.117.
Apart from the Chrome specific updates, like
multiple profile support and
built-in Cloud Print by default, none of which affect Chromebook users, there are several specific additions as well.
Chrome OS now supports ZIP archives, a major addition and a feature that probably should have been available long time ago. There's also an on-screen indicator when CapsLock is enabled, useful since Chromebooks don't come with a CapsLock key by default.
The latest update also adds warning messages for low disk space and support for Telegu and Kannada languages. The Flash Player plugin has been updated as well.
