Google Calendar got a bunch of new features that are quite handy

Google has implemented a bunch of updates to the Google Calendar, hoping to provide a speedier experience for users.

Now, the company has tapped into the wide collection of data coming from Google Maps to help users provide a more exact location for their Calendar entries. So, when you enter an address in the “where” field, you’ll get a bunch of autocomplete options coming from Google Maps so you can simply choose the one you want, rather than type in all the details.

Then, even better, when you share the event with your friends or family, they’ll be able to click the Map link and check if they’re in the right place or just to get a general sense of where they need to be headed.

This is quite a handy addition to the system, since it saves people a lot of time that would otherwise be wasted opening up the map themselves and looking for a certain address. It’s even better when the marked meet-up place is a building that you don’t know and that you have to go looking for over various sites just to get an address.

Furthermore, searching for things in the Calendar can be done in a much simpler way. For instance, you can type in keywords associated with the event, which should help filter down the results and provide you with the correct day and time for the events on your schedule.

Furthermore, events shared via Group invite have also received a little something. From now on, when someone makes a change within the group, the modifications will be displayed. So, for instance, the attending list will be automatically updated as people make up their minds about going or not.

All these new changes should help improve the user experience and make everything easier.
