Android enthusiasts rejoice as Google has just announced its Calendar application is now available as a standalone software via Play store.

Google Calendar was previously available only on select Android devices, including Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S, but starting today all those who own Android 4.0.3+ devices will be able to download and install it.

The app offers features such as snooze, the ability to use predefined messages to send quick SMSs to event participants, pinch to zoom in and out of a day. In addition, users will also be able to set a home time zone to help them manage time better while on the go.

Google Calendar is now available as a free download via Google Play store, and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0.3 and up. Check it out here.
