Google and China Mobile Sign the Deal

Some while ago, Google has decided the time has come they made a more impressive stand on the Chinese mobile market in some way and it seems their dreams have become real as the new year began. The Internet search and advertising giant will deliver its innovative search technologies, connecting numerous people around the world with the information they want every moment of the day, to the mobile phones used by the customers of the China Mobile company, one of the largest companies listed in overseas markets.

What is so important about this new deal closed by Google? Only the fact that China Mobile has the largest market capitalization among all global telecommunications operators and also a continuously growing one, with an outstanding potential and incredibly strong market vision. These are probably the exact qualities Google was seeking in the eventual candidate companies that could take it mobile according to their expressed wishes.

The first step after the closing of this deal will be the enabling of "mobile search" on the Monternet WAP portal, owned by China Mobile, so the users will then be able to search through the large quantity of mobile content available on the portal. The main way users will get access to this new service will be through a search box or a search link on Monternet WAP or, for the more tech advised users out there, with the help of a dedicated mobile search homepage also available on the same portal.

The China Mobile staff is "delighted to be providing [..] users with mobile and internet search services via our cooperation with Google. Mobile search will help users access the information they need more easily and quickly", as the chairman of China Mobile, Wang Jianzhou, has declared. "This is an important move for China Mobile's transformation into a mobile information expert. China Mobile will unite the industry chain, rapidly enhancing the whole industry's value. Our cooperation will not only satisfy our users' diverse communication needs but also build a new mobile world for Chinese users to communicate freely and live comfortably. As the leader of global internet search services, Google has a strong innovative capability. China Mobile and Google are working hand-in-hand and combining our strengths to improve the development of wireless, value-added services in China".

Also, after the deal between the two companies has been signed, Eric Schmidt, the chairman of the executive committee and chief executive officer of Google, has said that "creating an enhanced mobile experience is a very important focus for Google. Our goal, when working with key industry leaders like China Mobile, is to continue to develop compelling services that provide users worldwide with access to information directly from their mobile device. The cooperation between China Mobile and Google further enhances the strong innovative attributes of both companies, creating a richer mobile user experience".
