Enabling you to go back to your game with only one click

Google has been extra cautious when it comes to Google+, both in terms of privacy but also of spam. It's been careful to leave out brands and other 'non-human's out of the social network until earlier this week and even now it's limiting the amount of 'promotion' pages can do.

When it debuted games on the site, it relegated them to their own section and made sure that people that didn't play them were never bothered by the people that did.

The only way to start a game or see game-related updates was to first to go the Games section.

Now, Google is relenting a bit and is making it possible to access the latest games you played from the main sidebar on your Google+ profile.

It's a minor change, but it should enable users to get back to their games a lot faster while also working on a reminder that you have a game to finish, increasing engagement with games and the site in general.

"Today, we’re excited to announce that we’re making it a little easier for our users to access the games they play often. Recently played games will be available from a games section on the Google+ homepage. Hopefully, this will allow you to pick up from where you left off, in just one click," Google's Vermont Lasmarias announced on Google+.

"We’re always working to make the gaming experience better and more intuitive for you -- so we hope you enjoy this little addition!," he added.

Google doesn't clutter the Google+ left sidebar too much, so the move is a bit surprising. However, if you don't really use games all that much or simply don't want to the shortcuts on your Google+ homepage, you can remove the entire 'Games' section in the sidebar by clicking on the 'x' next to it.
