Social Networking app Google+ has been updated on iOS with a new feature called “Communities” which basically works like groups on Facebook.

Google+ Communities acts like a platform for people interested in the same subject, like this one.

Also new in version 4.0 is the ability to subscribe to any circle for notifications, the ability to indicate how many guests you're bringing to an event, support for time zones, and profile editing.

Users will also be glad to find a new compose interface, a new visual stream design, and a “Find people” module for discovering people and topics more easily.

Google+ requires iOS 5.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Four-inch displays (such as the one found on the iPhone 5) are natively supported.
