14 DAY TRIAL // Google+ 3.0 is now available to download with a bunch of new features for iPhone and iPad, including new gestures for the tablet implementation.
The changelog mentions “full iPad support,” leaving us scratching our skulls. A quick trip to the company’s official blog reveals that, “The Google+ app for iPad was designed with the device in mind. Your stream styles content based on popularity, type and orientation.”
New gestures are also available for tablet users. You can now pinch to expand posts right in your stream to add your comments, and you can use two fingers to drag a post from your stream to easily re-share it.
New features shared between iPhone and iPad include Google+ Events, the option to attach Instant Upload photos to posts, and the ability to start and join hangouts.
Google+ 3.0 is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and requires iOS 4.3 or later. The app is universal.
