Following the recent modifications made to the Google guidelines, some of the users started to ask questions about them especially because they were not enough clear. Today, Vanessa Fox from Google decided to explain some of the guidelines and to underline the most important of them. First of all, the famous prohibited "hidden text and hidden links" rule is still available so try to remain fair and get a PageRank depending on the quality of your website. Then, keep it mind that you're not allowed to install any kind of malicious file on your website such as viruses, malware and Trojan files.

"We're planning to restructure the Webmaster Tools Help Center to improve the way we organize and present help content. We want to make sure that our content is technically accurate, relevant, and up to date, and that it's easy to navigate and find exactly what you're looking for. Is the content broad enough in scope? Deep enough in detail? Does it have the right mix of instructional and conceptual info?" Riona MacNamara tried to explain the Google plans.

Most of these guidelines were more than obvious because the Mountain View company tries to keep a clean search technology without any type of threat. Have a look at the following guidelines as they were mentioned by the Google employee:

- Avoid hidden text or hidden links. - Don't use cloaking or sneaky redirects. - Don't send automated queries to Google. - Don't load pages with irrelevant keywords. - Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content. - Don't create pages that install viruses, trojans, or other badware. - Avoid "doorway" pages created just for search engines, or other "cookie cutter" approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content. - If your site participates in an affiliate program, make sure that your site adds value. Provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first.
