Google Apps, also regarded as Google's Office suite, is now improved with a new flavor that can bring the search giant some unexpected partners. The Partner Edition of Google Apps was especially designed for ISP, portals and other Internet companies and is able to allow them to provide the search giant's tools to their customers. As you might know, Google Apps contains Docs & Spreadsheets, Gmail, Calendar, Page Creator and many other solutions. The Mountain View company is offering up to 10 GB of storage for each Gmail account as
well as 24/7 assistance for all the customers of the solution.
"This new version, which we're calling the Partner Edition, makes it easy for large and small service providers to offer your subscribers the latest versions of powerful tools, like Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs & Spreadsheets, without having to worry about hosting, updating, or maintaining any of the services yourself. All you have to do is point and click in the easy admin control panel and figure out what branding you'd like to layer on top of the products in order to create a customized look and feel," Hunter Middleton, Product Manager, said today.
Now, Google might be shocked by some unexpected partners interested in their impressive Office solution. For example, Microsoft can opt for using the Google Apps and allow its customers to use all the products provided by the Mountain View rival. As you might know, Google Apps is regarded as the best alternative for the classic Microsoft Office because it provides almost the same functions as the offline suite but in online mode. More than that, the search giant has multiple flavors of Google Apps, adapting the product for numerous types of users. For example, the individual users can register for the product for free while the Premier Edition is available at $50 per user account per year.
