Based on JavaScript

Google's recently introduced interface for the search engine is not so efficient as it was described before, because it is entirely written in JavaScript, a platform that might make the product incompatible with some browsers. As Ionut Alex mentioned, if you disable Java in your browser, 50 percent of the Google Search engine becomes unavailable as the top left corner bar displaying the search functions is not accessible. Most of the Google solutions are especially designed in other platforms than Java, because it might cause incompatibilities with some browsers, resulting in the bad performance of products.

As the blogger noticed, Google has an interesting technical guideline that encourages webmasters to use a simple browser able to avoid complex content such as JavaScript or Flash animations.

"Use a text browser such as Lynx to examine your site, because most search engine spiders see your site much as Lynx would. If fancy features such as JavaScript, cookies, session IDs, frames, DHTML, or Flash keep you from seeing all of your site in a text browser, then search engine spiders may have trouble crawling your site," Google said. Obviously, there is only one and funny conclusion: Google might not be indexed by the best Internet search engine.

Seriously now, if you don't have JavaScript installed, you're now required to install it if you intend to use the Google search engine. As I said today, some of the users are looking for an alternative to the new Google Search because they want the old interface back. At this time, there is only one replacement: AOL Search. AOL's search technology is also provided by Google and provides exactly the same interface as the old search giant. So, if you encounter any problem with the new Google, don't forget to install JavaScript to be able to search the Internet.
