The Human Resources department is quite buggy

A recent story concerning the Google Human Resources department is affecting the Mountain View company's image. Jeff Barr presented a funny story about the Google recruiting system, sustaining that he was contacted by some search giant's recruiters although he refused their offer in the past. The interesting aspect is that Jeff Barr talked with the same Google employee but he sustained that he forgot he spoke to him already. "Funny thing is, I now have several more emails in my inbox from other Google recruiters. After reading these emails it appears that they don't know that I interviewed there last year! Perhaps they don't have this data in searchable form. Could that be?" Jeff Barr said.

The email sent to the potential Google employee was quite funny because it required him to familiarize with the company's products and conduct some searches. According to Jeff Barr, the email said that he must "familiarize with the job description under Product Development" and also "with all of Google's products (you will be asked both technical & business related questions)."

As far I can see, Google' recruitment system is kinda buggy because they are tending to interview the same candidates for several times. Jeremy Pepper posted a comment on the Jeff Barr's blog post, presenting another funny situation when Google's employees were affecting the company's image.

"My favorite is I received an email from a recruiter, he asked if he could call at time X, he never called, and then sent an email four days later pointing me to their career page," he said. "I used to work at Google, then quit, and then a year later got a cold email from a recruiter. No reply, of course, when I wrote back. I imagine they outsource a lot of recruiting, probably hard to keep all the contacts straight," Nelson Minar added.
