Dear Mageia users, the time has come to say goodbye to the Mageia 2 Linux operating system, as on November 22, 2013 it will reach end of life (EOL).

Announced last year, on May 22, 2012, Mageia 2 introduced systemd support, ARM and MIPS support, nilfs2 support, Intel Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge support, X.Org Server 1.11.4, Linux kernel 3.3.6, and much more.

Today, November 21, we are sorry to announce that starting with this Friday, November 22, 2013, the Mageia development team will stop "feeding" its Mageia 2 operating system with security/critical fixes and software updates.

Therefore, if you are still using Mageia 2 and haven't had the time to upgrade to the current stable release, we urge you to download Mageia 3 right now from Softpedia.

Courageous users can also try the first Beta release of the upcoming Mageia 4 operating system, due for release in early February 2014, which can also be downloaded from Softpedia.
