One of the best PDF reading apps for iPhone and iPad, GoodReader has been updated with new features and enhancements making the utility even more worthy of its $4.99 / €4.49 price tag.

Updated to version 3.19.0 on iPad and 3.19.1 on iPhone and iPod touch, GoodReader now displays thumbnail previews for PDF files and pictures in the file list view. Users can toggle this feature on and off to their liking.

The updated reader now supports RAW image files from Canon, Nikon and Phase One cameras, and the authentication procedure for accessing SugarSync has been modified, to comply with the requirements for security.

“This may mean that you will be forced to enter your SugarSync password one time,” says the development team at Good.iWare Ltd. “Once this transition to the new authentication procedure is done, you will continue to access your SugarSync account as usual, without entering the password every time.”

Developers with apps that generate / download files meant to be read and annotated are encouraged to use GoodReader's engine via the new SendToGoodReader SDK.
