Gyresoft Limited has announced Relay IRC, a neatly designed new IRC client for iPhone customers made to match the iOS 7 design and offering ZNC integration with full IRCv3 support, SSL support, and more.

According to its creators, “Relay incorporates iOS 7's look whilst providing a fresh interface, with a custom built network backend, for the best mobile IRC experience possible.”

Key features include the streamlined and highly-intuitive interface, ZNC integration with full IRCv3 support, SSL support, a custom network backend, multitasking with local notifications, and autocomplete for nickname and command.

An update is already being planned. Version 1.1 will bring support for iPad and ZNC Push notifications, iCloud preference synchronization, and even message logging (something that Relay IRC should have included from the get-go, in my opinion).

Relay IRC is currently on sale. You can get it for $2.99/£1.99/€2.69 right now, but developer Gyresoft Limited doesn’t say how much it plans to charge for the app regularly.

To download Relay IRC, all you need is an Apple ID and a device with iOS 7.0 installed. Hardware compatibility starts with iPhone 4, iPad second-generation, and iPod touch fifth-generation. The app is currently localized in English only.
