Described as the world's #1 best-selling technology author and renowned Photoshop guru, Scott Kelby is the host of the popular weekly series Adobe Photoshop TV and editor and publisher of Layers and Photoshop User magazines. Scott has released "Gonzo Holiday Gadget Gift Guide", a publication that is aimed at those that share an interest in professional photography and contains 21 pages with the coolest, must-have gadgets and photographic accessories for the Photoshop or digital photography freak.

Instead of just listing a bunch of items I have no real attachment to, I only included gear that I'm totally hooked on. These are things that I use every day, and that within the past year or so I've fallen so deeply and hopelessly in love with, that I can't live without them, says Scott.

The guide contains all kinds of gadgets, accessories and publications that Scott recommends for the photography enthusiasts. Of course that no holiday gift guide is complete without an iPod, but in "Gonzo Holiday Gadget Guide", Scott explains why an iPod helps
him in his work, satisfying other purposes than those of the iPod's basic ones: music playing.

Scott writes:
Apple 30-GB iPod (but not for the reasons you think)
Okay, it seems totally "duh" to choose an iPod in a Holiday Gadget Guide. But, there's an angle here for digital photographers that you might not have considered. You see, if you get an iPod, and then you also buy the Belkin Hi-Speed 2.0 15-in-1 Media Reader and Writer, then you can use your iPod to back up your photos from an on-location photo shoot. You just pop your memory card into the reader, plug the reader into your iPod, and transfer your photos right there on the spot. Oh, but there's more: you can also put your photographic or graphics portfolio on your iPod and have it display in the window, complete with smooth transitions between images and even background music. So, it's a backup drive and a portable portfolio player. Oh, did I mention it plays music, and TV shows, and movies? Hey…what can I say…some people actually use it for that. Amazing, I know. The 30-GB model is only $249, weighs only 4.8 ounces, and fits perfectly in your camera bag.
