“Eleanor,” the iconic vehicle featured in the “Gone in 60 Seconds” Nicholas Cage and Angelina Jolie flick has sold at auction for a cool $1 M (770 K).

The Ford Mustang played a pivotal part in the movie, serving as Cage's obsession. It was also the one car that got away, the one he's always had trouble stealing but that he somehow could not resist.

The vehicle was sold at the Dana Mecum 26th Original Spring Classic Auction in Indianapolis, Christian Science Monitor writes.

The car is not an original 1967 Mustang, it was made by Cinema Vehicle Services for the movie. Ten other cars, two of which were wrecked during production were used to make the flick.

This particular “Eleanor” posed for all the posters, however, and it was used in the closing shots.
