After being forced to leave the MI6 for unscrupulous and ruthless behavior in an MI6 simulator, you quickly find a new source of income. You begin to work for Auric Goldfinger, changing sides from super agent to henchman. After the first mission, the one that also gets you expelled from the British secret agency, you are assigned a Goldeneye by Francisco Scaramanga, who acts as the villain’s version of 'Q.' He grants the special abilities of seeing through covers, tossing enemies around, using a shield, and hacking into computers.
The game was published by Electronic Arts, Inc. and developed by Electronic Arts Los Angeles, Savage Entertainment, LLC. It was released on November 22, 2004 on the Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, and Xbox and has a PEGI rating of 12. The title is a first-person shooter that delivers a simple, run-and-gun style gameplay from start to finish.
The game might try to bring forth some resemblance to the Bond of the Nintendo 64 to the DS, but fails quite badly. If the Everything or Nothing was a great action-adventure title, this FPS from EA is quite a flop in comparison. The tradition of a shooter didn't work at all, and the decision to cut back on efforts is obvious.
