The clamshell version of LG Shine will be available at Telus in the near future. The phone will come in a special gold version, for an extra glow.

The original LG Shine has a regular at Telus since September this year, which made it just the right time for a special version of the device to refreshen the offer. A gold LG Shine 8700 will join this operator's lineup and try to bring some style and elegance to those looking for this from their mobile phone.

The phone comes packed with the same features as those seen in the original version. The only difference is that of the color and turns out as being the easiest solution for a handset producer to make a device look fresh without worrying about bringing better specifications list.

LG Shine always relied on its looks above anything else in order to draw the attention of customers. Nothing changed with the golden version and we now have an extra stylish clamshell with only 14 mm in thickness. It manages to render music at a pretty decent level and also has a microSD card slot for expanding the default memory. Other than that, it also brings Bluetooth connectivity, for listening to music the wireless way.

The 2 megapixel camera is nothing impressive, as it will manage to bring only average quality captures and nothing special. The great thing about the handset's support on Canadian grounds is that it also brings some of the most useful Telus services, such as Telus mobile radio, mobile music and mobile TV. Moreover, it also packs GPS for always having a high tech map in the pocket and instant messaging support.

The new golden LG Shine 8700 will be available for exactly the same price as the original version finished in aluminum.
