John Legend and Common were on hand at last night’s Golden Globes 2015, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, to collect the award for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture for “Glory,” which they wrote and performed for the “Selma” OST.
They were presented with the award by none other than the famously reclusive Prince, who got even the biggest stars in the audience jumping with excitement when he walked up on stage. During their speech, the most amazing thing caught the eye of the people watching at home: Chrissy Teigen’s hilarious crying face.
You will find a low-quality video of the moment, including the acceptance speech and the brief glimpse at Chrissy, but it’s best summed up in the GIF below.
From the moment this aired, it took only minutes to turn into a meme, with Chrissy’s frozen half-smiling, half crying face becoming the number one photo offered as the best response in a variety of situations, from learning that your roommate ate all the treats just when you craved them the most, to learning that Luke and Leia are brother and sister after their kiss in “Star Wars.”
Luckily, Chrissy has a very healthy sense of humor, and after saying that she doesn’t rehearse her crying face before heading out to an awards show, she started reposting hilarious photos in which she was tagged. The one with the mouths instead of eyes is truly something else.
