14 DAY TRIAL // Sandra Bullock is always a spectacular presence on the red carpet. Even when she doesn’t take risks that might make an outfit truly memorable, she’s classy and stylish, bold but not over the top. Last night’s Golden Globes 2014 were the exception.
For this particular red carpet, Sandra chose a color-blocking Prabal Gurung gown with a plunging neckline and an asymmetric hemline. However, it wasn’t the combination of pink, blue, and black or the deep cleavage that got people talking about the dress.
On camera, the dress revealed a bit more than it does in photos, making Sandra a victim of the same optical illusion (or was it…?!) that landed Anne Hathaway on several worst dressed lists at the Oscars 2013, when she wore that pink Dior dress.
In other words, the dress was sewn in such a way on the chest that it drew attention to Sandra’s breasts and, since she wasn’t wearing a bra because of how low-cut it was, it became obvious that she wasn’t wearing pasties either.
Apparently, this was painfully obvious on camera, which begs the question of why no one bothered to tell her before she walked out of the house for the awards show.
Above is a photo of the dress. Even if it hadn’t been for this “nippy” situation, Sandra’s dress would have still made it on many worst dressed lists because people simply didn’t like it on her, finding it unflattering and too fussy. Also, too shiny.
