14 DAY TRIAL // When a female celebrity said “it takes a village to look this good,” she wasn’t exaggerating by much. As a video Maria Menounos posted online can confirm, to get someone ready for the red carpet is very hard work and the division of labor is clear from the start.
The video in question is available at this link. The photo above is of the finished result, of Maria looking positively radiant in a pink gown with tiny see-through panels (slashes), on the red carpet before Sunday’s prestigious gala.
So, to prepare, Maria started off by getting her eyebrows professionally done, while someone else was working on her nails.
She then had makeup specialist Dimitri Giannetos do her makeup, which was a little out of the ordinary because this was a major red carpet event, so it also included lots of contouring. Dimitri also did Maria’s hair, which was pulled up and back in a slick ponytail.
Maria explains in the behind the scenes footage that, while her ponytail is relatively long, it was too pretty / girlie for the occasion, so they had a clip-on extension added to it to make it sleeker.
After several hours of hard work (on part of Maria’s team of stylists), she was ready to go out and dazzle photographers and the fans at home with her A-list look.
