Snafu is handled with grace and honesty, even with some humor

When director Michael Bay took to the stage at CES 2014 and his teleprompter malfunctioned, he simply walked off the stage while apologizing. Jonah Hill and Margot Robbie handled a similar situation with far more grace at the Golden Globes 2014.

The two “Wolf of Wall Street” co-stars were on stage to introduce their own movie as Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical nominee but, when they wanted to get to the actual introducing, they realized the prompter was displaying the wrong text, meant for the next round of presenters.

Instead of staring blankly and fleeing in panic like Bay did, the two handled the snafu with honesty and humor, as the video above will confirm.

Someone from the staff eventually handed them a piece of paper with the text, and they read off it. Margot, however, still seemed convinced that this was some kind of prank organizers pulled on rookies to the awards circuit like herself.

Still, there was a certain vibe to the whole thing that is making people online say the snafu was actually scripted.

“The Wolf of Wall Street” lost out to “American Hustle.”
