You might think I’m mocking him or condescending in any way when I say that Jared Leto has fabulous hair but the truth is I’m not: as many other women, I have a serious case of hair envy when I see his perfect ombre locks.

Last night at the Golden Globes 2014, the actor went for something slicker than his trademark look, which implies wearing his hair down in natural loose curls, and, in the process, he created what BuzzFeed describes as a new hairstyle: half-bun, half-ponytail, the “pony-bun.”

Below are two GIFs offering a better look at the “pony-bun,” while above you will find a video of his acceptance speech for winning Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture, for his role in “Dallas Buyers Club.”

“It’s got the ‘business in the front, party in the back’ vibe that a mullet has — without being a mullet,” the aforementioned e-zine says of Jared’s fancy ‘do and, I do have to say, there’s a very good point in that.

Many fashion pundits have said that the “thing” at this year’s Golden Globes was very bad hair and/or unfortunate styling. If we were to rank Jared in with the ladies, he’d probably leave many of them crying bitter tears of frustration. #Fact.
