14 DAY TRIAL // Actress Gabourey Sidibe, or Gabby for short, made her debut in the critically acclaimed “Precious,” which came out in 2009 and turned her into a household name overnight. She’s been working steadily ever since but one thing that doesn’t seem to have changed is how much people will hate on her because of her weight.
Gabby was at the Golden Globes 2014 on Sunday night and, as the photo above can confirm, she even walked the red carpet. She’s always been overweight and, though she appears to have lost some weight since she shot to fame, she still is so.
Many commenters online found that unpardonable, as they also did the dress and everything about her that night – and they spared no second thought before letting her know it.
Well, Gabby isn’t saying that she’s not overweight or that her dress could have looked better, but she does say she has no intention of wasting a second of her precious time fretting about what some people she doesn’t know might think or say about her.
“To people making mean comments about my GG pics, I mos def cried about it on that private jet on my way to my dream job last night. #JK,” the actress writes on her Twitter. She’s only half-joking, I presume.
