Rapper Diddy was one of the presenters at the Golden Globes 2014, held live at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California but his gig will go down in history as one of the most awkward ever, probably because he was trying too hard to impress.

He and Bono also shared a moment, as the photo above and the GIF below can confirm.

Bone came up on stage with The Edge to accept the award for Best Original Song for a Motion Picture (“Ordinary Love” from “Mandela”), and, in between shaking hands, sharing hugs, and holding the award, he and Diddy almost kissed on the mouth.

In fact, Diddy had reached out for a super awkward hug, and then Bono leaned forward but, realizing that he was too close for comfort, immediately pulled back. The expression on his face whilst so doing probably says it all.

Before this awkward hug that is now making the delight of millions of gossip lovers all around the world, Diddy had another, just as awkward moment upon walking on stage with Kate Beckinsale, when he placed himself right next to her, though that was Usher’s place.
