Golden Globes 2013: Rumor Has It Anne Hathaway Is Pregnant

Anne Hathaway may be having a bit more to celebrate these days than just winning various awards for her role in “Les Miserables.” She and her husband might be getting ready to become parents, with various sources saying that she’s pregnant with her first child.

The star has never made a secret of her deep desire to start a family as soon as possible, even saying in one interview that she was happy she’d come so far in her career because now she could afford to take some time off to be a mother.

However, she never said specifically she planned to become pregnant now.

It has happened, though, various reports say. Giuliana Rancic, E! News fashion correspondent, addressed the rumors right there on the red carpet before the Golden Globes 2013.

Unfortunately, we don’t have video of that yet but Yahoo! confirms that it happened.

“Rumors are that Anne Hathaway may be pregnant. That’s the buzz on the street right now, which, if true that may be the ultimate award season good luck charm,” Rancic said.

“Just ask Natalie Portman who two years swept the award season for her work in Black Swan while she was pregnant with her first child,” the E! host added.

“Also Rachel Weisz had a bump while picking up hardware for The Constant Gardener in 2006 and Catherine Zeta Jones in 2003, who was just about ready to pop...,” she continued.

The star’s publicist has already denied the reports but that’s doing very little by means of keeping the rumors in check.

Moreover, Yahoo! points out, after Rancic said those things on camera, Anne seemed to be hell-bent to avoid all cameras if possible.

The Chanel dress she wore (see the image attached to this article) was form-fitting but, in motion, it was clear that the corset left ample space to hide a baby bump if necessary, voices online are pointing out.

Of course, if Anne is truly pregnant, chances are we’ll all find out in just a few weeks, because the awards season is still in full bloom and she remains a favorite. So keep an eye on this space.
