Golden Globes 2013: Ben Affleck Wins Big with “Argo”

Ben Affleck was one of the biggest snubs at the Academy Awards 2013 nominees but he was more than vindicated at last night’s Golden Globes 2013, when he finally got recognition for his work on “Argo.”

As I also informed you earlier today, Affleck took home the award for Best Director and Best Movie, Drama with the political thriller.

Embedded here are Affleck’s two biggest moments of the night. His speech when accepting the award for Best Director is truly something else.

Perhaps he was the last to expect to win, considering how emotional he got when he took to the stage.

Never the one to tout his own horn, Affleck pointed what an honor it was to even be nominated and concluded by thanking every one under the sun but, most of all, his three adorable kids and his loving wife, without whom “I would not be standing here.”
