HBO star Paz de la Huerta got drunk, embarrassed herself at the Golden Globes 2011

Paz de la Huerta, star of HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire,” got so drunk at the 2011 Golden Globes that she was denied entry at an afterparty at the Chateau Marmont, and was forced to walk the walk of shame to a cab – after taking a very embarrassing tumble.

“Boardwalk Empire” was one of the biggest winners of the night in television, therefore castmembers had a lot of celebrating to do.

As we also informed you the other day, the HBO show was named Best Television Series, Drama, while Steve Buscemi also picked up an award for Best Actor in a Television Series, Drama.

Paz plays Lucy Danziger on the show and, since this was a big night, she seemed to have duly enjoyed the free drinks being generously served at the tables at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA, where the Golden Globes were held.

TMZ reports – and even has video to confirm – that de la Huerta got so drunk one bodyguard actually turned her down from an after-party because she was barely able to stand.

As he’s leading her to her car, the actress can be heard muttering “But I can do this” many times, presumably referring to her ability to be civil and behave properly once inside the venue.

“One of the stars from ‘Boardwalk Empire’ was so hammered after the Golden Globes last night she was rejected from a ‘GG’ afterparty – and then fell down as she tried to stumble to her car,” TMZ writes.

The e-zine has video of both embarrassing moments: as Paz is being denied entry at the party and as she takes a serious tumble near the sidewalk, rips her dress and reveals more skin than necessary.

“Once the doorman told her she was too drunk to enter, Paz (and a guy who was basically propping her up) began to walk away... when they both collapsed under the weight of her booziness – leaving a serious RIP in the back of her dress,” TMZ says.

Either way, drunk and with parts of her anatomy on full display, de la Huerta still agrees to sign an autograph, while also answering the hottest question of the evening: was host Ricky Gervais funny or insulting in his speeches?

He was funny, de la Huerta believes. See TMZ for video or check out a shorter version of it below.
