While Taylor Swift is burying herself in work / music, ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal is doing the awards circuit. For the 2011 Golden Globes, he brought as date his ex – but inside, he was totally romancing Camilla Belle.

Jake walked the red carpet alone but that’s not to say he was surrounded by strangers (more or less) when he was shown to his table inside the glitzy Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

In fact, X17 Online writes, he sat next to someone whom he knows from back in 2001, when they used to date.

“We spotted Jake and Rilo Kiley songbird Jenny Lewis leaving their limo yesterday afternoon on their way to the ceremony, and it looks like the old pals had a blast catching up,” the e-zine says.

Since they were once involved romantically, it’s no wonder Jake made sure they weren’t photographed together. Still, they’re just good friends.

“Jake and Jenny dated way back in 2001, and she currently sings in the band Jenny and Johnny with boyfriend Johnathan Rice, so these two are just friends,” X17 explains.

Plus, the actor was otherwise busy during the ceremony, doing his best to romance Camilla Belle, the same e-zine notes in a separate post.

In fact, the entire blogosphere is abuzz with rumors that Gyllenhaal and Belle may be the hottest young couple on the block: the only reason why they’re not going public with their romance is his recent split from Taylor Swift, it is being said.

“Despite the fact that Jake Gyllenhaal took former girlfriend (and Rilo Kiley singer) Jenny Lewis to the Golden Globes last night as his date, the hunky Love and Other Drugs actor is rumored to have been chatting up Camilla Belle, according to online reports. Clearly he’s over poor Taylor Swift!” X17 says.

Another couple in the making is that made of “TRON: Legacy” star Garrett Hedlund and “Gossip Girl” Leighton Meester. They’re both in “Country Song,” also starring Gwyneth Paltrow.
