Golden Globes 2011: Hayden Panettiere’s Sheer Dress and Pasties

She did not do the red carpet ceremony before the Golden Globes 2011, but Hayden Panettiere was at the HBO afterparty, where many other stars came to celebrate their win. However, it is the “Heroes” star’s gown that’s getting her in the headlines.

As Us Magazine puts it, this could have been worse: Hayden could have chosen to wear nothing underneath the very sheer navy ballgown she had on.

Still, the fact that she chose to hide – at least partly – her breasts under pasties was probably just as worse because, fashion gurus are saying, it attracted even more attention to that particular area of her body.

“With [pasties] clearly visible through her Amanda Wakeley gown, a seemingly unaware Hayden Panettiere smiled for photographers at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday,” Us Magazine writes.

Indeed, the way Hayden smiles at the camera has prompted some talk on whether she did not realize that her dress was sheer or the chances that it was only so when the flashes of the cameras went off.

Either way, she would have looked considerably better if she had worn instead a skin-colored slip, though the low-cut décolletage would have made of finding the right one quite a challenge.

Another option would have been to choose the dress in another fabric, one that wasn’t so sheer, it is being said – or wear something, like a bra or a top, underneath it.

This way, by applying pasties that were so visible, Hayden actually managed to ruin the effect of the flowy and delicate navy ballgown.

“The Heroes actress, 21, and her boyfriend, heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko, first hit up the InStyle / Warner Bros. post-party. Shortly after, the lovebirds headed over to HBO’s swanky afterparty, held at the Circa 55 restaurant in L.A,” Us Magazine adds.

Because of the whole pasties “situation,” Hayden Panettiere is now included on most lists of worst dressed at the Golden Globes 2011.
