Google has created a special version of its Gmail e-mail service that provides mobile phone subscribers with quick access to their e-mail.

Gmail Mobile lets you access your Gmail account from your mobile phone. Just enter http://m.gmail.com in your phone's web browser to log in to your account.

Users can access attached photos and documents from their phone. If you enter phone numbers in your Gmail Contacts list, you can reply to messages by call. Gmail messages are automatically synchronized between mobile phones and computer accounts, regardless of whether Gmail is accessed from Gmail Mobile or the Web. Gmail Mobile should work on most web enabled mobile phones and devices that have a wireless data plan.

Google doesn't charge you to access your Gmail account from a mobile phone, but depending on your service plan, you may be charged by your wireless provider. Check with your provider for more information about costs associated with accessing the Internet from your mobile phone. The service is currently available only to U.S. cellphone users.
