God of War Unlockables and Hints (PS2)

God of War is a video game that was developed SCE Studio Santa Monica and was published by Sony Computer Entertainment America, Inc.

The game was launched exclusively on the PlayStation 2 home gaming console from Sony and recently they have also been given a High Definition relaunched on the next gen PS3.

It was launched during the month of March 2005.

The title can be classed as being an action title that is played from a third person perspective with elements taken from ancient myths, fantasy and the adult genre.

God of War is one of the classic PlayStation titles and has spawned its own genre over the year.

The hero of the story is a tough Spartan warrior called Kratos who lead his people into battle but is now a wreck haunted by the nightmares of his past.

UNLOCKABLES

Secret Message 1

Complete God mode in the North American NTSC version to reveal a U.S. telephone number you can call for a message (1-800-613-8840).

Secret Message 2

Alternately, keep hitting the two statues at your throne at the end of the game. Eventually they will break, giving you a puzzle of a group of numbers. These numbers are for a U.S. telephone number you can call for a funny message (1-888-447-5594).

In the PAL version of the game this will be replaced with a bonus intermission sequence featuring the events after the Ares and Minotaur statues are destroyed.

GAMEPLAY HINTS

Move faster

Press Right Analog-stick Forward to roll forward, then press R1 to execute a Hermes Rush shoulder charge before the roll ends. Repeat this to move faster.
In order to get rid of the pause in between dodge rolls and also move faster, repeatedly tap an attack button while doing so (excluding certain attacks such as Hermes Rush). Instead of performing the attack, the dodge roll will stop it, and continue moving.
