14 DAY TRIAL // The team at the Santa Monica Studio and publisher Sony are announcing that gamers can now place a pre-order for God of War III Remastered ahead of its July launch date and is also offering an exclusive look at gameplay from the title running at 1080p and 60 frames per second.
The two companies are saying that those who pre-order now will get access to a new God of War - Fall of Olympus dynamic theme when the title is first introduced.
At the same time, those gamers hailing from North America will be able to get the same theme on May 26 and also gain access to both God of War I and God of War II for 90 days using a rental system.
The new video for God of War III Remastered shows off Kratos battling Hades and reveals the way the power of the PlayStation 4 allows the title to run at a resolution of 1080p and at 60 frames per second.
Sony adds, "In addition to offering PS4 players a chance to rip apart the Olympic pantheon in stunning detail, the Remaster also includes Photo Mode. Now players can freeze the brutal action mid-swing, play with a ton of creative camera and lighting options, and share that with fellow God of War fans."
The new title is designed to bring the classic game to some players who own a PS4 but have not experienced it before.
God of War III Remastered might pave the way for a new title in the series
Sony Santa Monica is at the moment working on a new title in the same franchise, designed from the ground up for the PlayStation 4, but no details about it have been offered so far.
Cory Balrog is the leader of the team linked to the new project and it seems that he is aiming to create an experience that will be closer to the first two titles in the franchise, which he also created.
Sony might make an official announcement during the coming E3 2015 event.
The company might have a problem with limited PlayStation 4 exclusives in the coming year, and a new Gears of War, even if it arrives in 2016, will be a good way of showing gamers that it intends to solve that issue.
