The PSP version is done, game stores are waiting

The game developed by Ready at Dawn was actually ready at midnight or something like that, since this PSP version of the highly acclaimed God of War franchise was initially set for release during last year's Holidays. Still, it's better later than never, so here is the word: God of War: Chains of Olympus has gone gold in the United States and it is set to hit the game store shelves starting the 4th of March 2008.

The game, developed for the PSP consoles already received some praise following the release of the demo version and there are people who already say they believe the developers when they say that God of War: Chains of Olympus is a milestone for the portable console. And there would actually be no reasons not to believe them, since the same guys brought to us the super Daxter title.

In God of War: Chains of Olympus, Kratos, the hero of the series, will journey to lands that no mortal has ever walked upon - and probably nobody would like to walk there, anyway. Our hero will face the most feared creatures of Greek Mythology, and ultimately be forced to choose between his own personal redemption and saving the ancient world from certain destruction. That is part of the official description of the game, so don't blame me for spoiling the beans on this one.

Apart from that, you will have new combat moves, only available for the PSP version, as well as the ones you already know from the console versions (duh!), a lot of exploring to do, from the Gates of Hades to the Depths of Tartarus - places where the most brutal bosses you have ever been faced to live their not-at-all peaceful life.

All in all, the game really promises to be a great addition for the PSP owners and the God of War fans. So, don't forget: the 4th of March this year is the time when you will become, again, a God of War.
