The development team at Sony Santa Monica that created God of War: Ascension is planning to launch an update for the game which will, among other issues, decrease the difficulty level for the Trial of Archimedes level.

Since the game was launched, a number of players have complained that the area, which forces the gamer to face tough waves of powerful enemies without checkpoints, is unfair.

Some report that they have spent hours trying to beat it without a good result.

Todd Pappy, leading developer working on God of War: Ascension, has said via Twitter that his team is evaluating how the Trial of Archimedes section could be tweaked.

Ascension is the final Kratos-powered games to launch on the PLayStation 3 and introduces multiplayer to the series.
