14 DAY TRIAL // God of War: Ascension's multiplayer donwloadable content is currently available free of charge on the PlayStation Network.
The gift to players was made in order to celebrate the game's first birthday, and the promotion will run for a whole week. God of War: Ascension is Santa Monica Studio's latest iteration in the legendary God of War franchise, and was released on March 12, 2013.
Santa Monica Studio's Community Strategist Aaron Kaufman shared the good news with the God of War fans in a post on the PlayStation Blog, sharing that all the multiplayer weapon and armor DLC for God of War: Ascension is now available for free for a week, allowing players to complete their DLC collection.
Additionally, apart from the free DLC, the studio has also decided to drop all XP Booster prices by 50 percent, allowing players to climb even faster to Ascension status.
Furthermore, players can participate in a thread on the PlayStation Forums for the chance to win an exclusive The Marked One cape for free. This will be the only occasion on which the cape will ever be made available.
The anniversary event is the developer's way of thanking their loyal fans, on top of which they added one final act of recognition, showing some Power Rankings that represent the top players' feats since God of War: Ascension was released.
